Howard & Darlene Harrison
The President and Secretary are John H. (Howard), Sr. and Darlene Harrison. Howard & Darlene have been farming and ranching in South Dakota for 46 years and Howard was named Outstanding Young Farmer in 1970-71. Having concern for natural resources and the environment, they have been using no-till policies and procedures since 1990 and are members of the South Dakota No-Till Association. Howard & Darlene have the same concerns in their ranching operation and have cross-fenced pastures for rotational grazing and have installed fifteen miles of water pipe line to help with this procedure and to save stock dams from pollution. They have sold drug-free cattle for eight years and entities such as TGI Fridays have been ongoing purchasers of this beef. Howard also has an interest in and is working with soil carbon sciences through the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
John Harrison
John H. Harrison, Jr. is Vice President and inventor of the Smart Nozzle. Using his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and his Masters degree in System Engineering from Texas Tech., John has invented the Skyline GPS guidance system for ground based autonomous vehicles, a grain sequencer for better distribution of large grain in small grain planters and now the Smart Nozzle spray system. His education also includes 20 hours towards a Masters degree in Computer Science, giving him a background in which to formulate and write all computer programs associated with these projects. John had also spent twenty years developing state of the art military and satellite equipment for Texas Instruments/Raytheon.
Michele Harrison
Michele Harrison fills the role of business manager. In Arizona she founded and managed a construction/retail company that catered to the agricultural industry by providing housing, trailers and equipment to equestrian interests. She also presided over and sat on the board of the largest Arabian horse show in the world in Scottsdale, Arizona.
